About us

Nature is our playground

Since 2014, RevolutionRace has offered high-quality outdoor products for people with an active lifestyle. Our ambition is to create durable, timeless products with excellent fit at reasonable prices. RevolutionRace meets the needs of those who want to seamlessly transition between nature and the city. Our multifunctional garments are carefully designed to suit various activities, adapt to changing weather conditions, and are suitable for both men and women of all ages.

Our history

Once upon a time, the outdoor industry was troubled by a problem. The clothes were overpriced, the fit mediocre at best and the colours fifty shades of forest green. Enter Niclas and Pernilla Nyrensten, an outdoorsy couple from Borås, Sweden, who decided to shake things up. They launched RevolutionRace in 2014 with the mission to create fun, high-quality outdoor clothes at an unmatched value. No walker should ever have to fear getting a blueberry stain on their expensive outdoor trousers again.

In the beginning, Niclas and Pernilla did everything themselves. They shot and modeled the products in their living room, used a garage as their warehouse and logistics hub, and juggled everything from product development to customer service. Their first marketing video? Shot with a mobile phone, no script and zero lighting skills. Everyone said it would flop, but instead it blew up the internet. The race to revolutionise the outdoor industry was on.

Fast forward to today, and RevolutionRace has grown into a global company, with sales in over 40 countries and counting. We have 18 unique web shops, 130 passionate employees and an awesome crew of ambassadors who’ve always got our back. And with +650,000 reviews in our web shop, we’re inching closer to our goal of becoming the most recommended outdoor company each day.

Our community is our heartbeat

At RevolutionRace, we measure our success not just by the figures on our bottom line, but also by the engagement of our community. From the get-go, your feedback, reviews and shoutouts on social media have helped shape both our products and who we are as a company. You’re our most honest critics and our tireless cheerleaders, always wholeheartedly engaged in putting our garments to the test.

Do you think one of our jackets needs an upgrade, or are you dying to see your favourite trousers in a different colour? Let us know! We’ve always got our ear to the ground when it comes to engaging our community and we read every product review and social media post that you write about us. If you just fancy sharing some photos and reels from your latest outdoor adventure, we’re all for it. So keep tagging, posting and letting us know what you’re up to – we’re all in this together.

Our business model

Our business model is really pretty simple. We only sell our outdoor clothes online, directly to our customers. By cutting out agents and retailers from the mix, we can get new products to market faster. While other brands typically need a year for new product development, it only takes us six months. A faster, slimmer process without middlemen means that we can offer high-quality clothes with a reasonable price tag.

Cutting out the middlemen and keeping it real

We’re on a mission to make nature accessible for everyone and to deliver high-quality outdoor clothes that don’t break the bank. We do that by only selling our products online and doing as much as we can ourselves, in-house at our headquarters in Borås, Sweden. When we cut out the middlemen, we save on costs without sacrificing quality and keep full control over our product range, marketing and pricing.

Speaking of doing things ourselves… Chances are you’ve spotted some of us in photos on our website and socials, because we believe nothing’s more real than modeling our own gear. We believe our employees are our most valuable asset, and our amazing team spirit is the key to our success. Around here, we work hard, but we play even harder. We’re always on the lookout for people who are just as stoked about the outdoors as us. Would you like to join us?

Blazing the trail for a Responsible Race

Nature is our playground, but it’s also our job to look out for the planet and the people who make our products. With our sustainability game plan, A Responsible Race, we’ve set some bold goals to cut CO2 emissions, save water and use more recycled and sustainably sourced materials. We’re also keeping a close eye on our global supply chains to make sure that everyone involved in producing our clothes gets a fair deal.

As you might already have noticed, fast fashion isn’t our vibe. Instead, we’re all about designing timeless, durable garments that you’ll want to wear over and over again. That’s why our collections barely change with the seasons and why some of our very first designs are still our biggest fan favorites. We're here to keep overproduction and waste to a bare minimum, always striving to find a home for every single garment we make.

"We’re on a mission to make nature accessible for everyone, but at the same time we need to protect our playground for coming generations.
We’re excited to keep moving toward a more sustainable future together with our community.”

– Stephanie Andersson, Sustainability Manager RevolutionRace

Nordwand: The trousers that started it all

Did you know that our very first trousers, Nordwand, are still among our most popular? It’s true! With their perfect mix of durable cotton canvas and comfortable stretch, these multifunctional trousers have become legendary among outdoor fans who like to walk in comfort and style. Since the start, we’ve sold over one million Nordwand trousers in 65 (!) different colours and the product series has expanded to six models. Based on the feedback from our community, we’ve tweaked the fit and upgraded some features, but at their core, these reliable and popular trousers are the same now as they were back then. With 23,000 reviews and an average rating of 4.6 out of 5, we think it’s safe to say that our Nordwand trousers are here for the long haul.
