The Whisper Trousers are water- and windproof shell trousers designed for year-round use. Thanks to a durable stretch weave, they allow for silent movement during wear. The Whisper Trousers are perfect for hiking during rainy summer days or as alpine trousers during wintertime. The zips in the leg openings are made to fit snug over hiking boots when closed and to fit over alpine boots when opened. They have two hand pockets with water-resistant zip closure. Wear them year-round as a weatherproof outer layer.

trousers for winter walks
Out in in kinds of weather yesterday, hailstones, sunny spells, rain, & howling winds. Very happy because protected by RVRC clothing. L is just long enough for me and don't need belt with this size.

Poor fit for certain "shapes"
I have 4 pairs of mens RR trousers and wanted to get my good lady some waterproofs. I ordered her a pair of Whispers in S & M as she wasn't sure what would fit.
The M's were too big in the waist but fine everywhere else. The S's were fine around the waist but way too tight around the bum and thighs.
Lovely as their trousers are, as with many manufactuers, they won't fit ladies who are slim on top (she's a UK 10), but who have slightly more "ample" bums and thighs. Back to the drawing board!
